According to Wikipedia, an autostereogram is « a single-image stereogram (SIS), designed to create the visual illusion of a three-dimensional (3D) scene within the human brain from an external two-dimensional image. »
In other words, autostereogram is a pixel image that contain another image when you squint your eyes. The other image will break away from its background and appear in relief. True ! Forgot your 3D glasses, you only need your eyes ! Here is an example of what you can see
This kind of images were used in the 90′s, and you may have seen some in children magazines. I found the concept interesting, so I decided to make some.
You may have some troubles at the beginning to see the images. Be patient, squint with the help of the two guides (I put below every images two white dots, focus on them at first, gather them by squinting, then the whole image will appear). Several attempts may be needed, but it worst definitely the try !
First of all, try to see them ! Click here an see the sun !
Below are the hidden images of the autostereograms available into my shops. Have fun !
